This is over 150 times the legal limit and using a product that contains such high levels of this bleach could casue serious harm and gum disease.

These questionable products that contain an uncertain cocktail of potentially harmful ingredients could lead of painful chemical burns in the mouth, which may up further staining teeth rather than whitening them.

The British Orthodontic Society was responsible for ‘The Against All Odds’ award that was presented to Eva earlier this month. Eva’s orthodontist Dr. Jonty Meisner has been treating her since 2005 when he recognized the serious effect that Eva’s teeth were having on her psychological development and her health in general. He utilised a variety of innovative treatments that involved the use of fixed and temporary braces as well as high pull headgear.

The treatment has taken a long time, but it has been effective and has significantly improved Eva’s quality of life as a result.
